Hello and welcome to 1st Lacock Scout Group.
Join the Adventure today!
Scouting is a partnership between the leaders and the parents of our young people. To be successful we need to be able to work in a way that utilises everyone’s skills.
If we get this right the young people will get more out of the evenings due to your special skills and knowledge and you will enjoy helping out more if you are able to do something you love.
Please can you drop us an email or a note to let us know of anything you do or skills you have from work or hobbies that may be useful to the group.
Are you good with IT? Do you play an instrument? Do you write? Cook? Anything at all might be useful.
Gwilym's black winter coat that he wore to cubs on Friday (10th Feb) has got mixed up with someone else's as it disappeared at the end of the evening and someone else's was left behind. It's his school coat with some dark grey detail, and a name tag sewn inside. If you could check whether you have it and contact Gwilym's mum we'd really appreciate it, and she will arrange to come and collect it. Gwilym wore home the only coat left on that night, which is also black (and very similar to the lost one !) and has the name tag inside blacked out if that sounds familiar to any of you....?
Do any of our Beavers have brothers, sisters or cousins approaching six? If so please pass on their details to Rosemary for our new waiting list.
Do remember to bring your folders along to every meeting.
All our Cubs and Beavers are encouraged to take part in the Orion star count. Visit: http://www.britastro.org/dark-skies/starcount/ for more details.
There are job opportunities within Scouting locally: http://tinyurl.com/scoutjob and http://tinyurl.com/scoutjob1
